The Story Behind The Research

Under what criteria should the drinking age be lowered to eighteen?  Is it wrong to not allow our soldiers to drink even though they defend this country?  By the time an individual is eighteen, they have already able to do many things that define adulthood.  A couple of these are voting, driving, run for a local office, drive, and defend this country.  We can be in control of two tons of hurtling death by the time we are sixteen years old.  But, having a drink is a crime?   Out there in the US today, a legless war veteran is only twenty years old. If he were to go to public bar, he would be denied the right to drink with the people he fought to protect. Is that right?  People who are mature enough to give up their limbs and unbroken mentality are not mature enough to have a beer with their fellow Americans?  This is true in this country and it is sad.  Research shows that politicians think that at least our soldiers should be able to drink beer.
