What I would like to learn from this research is: under what criteria should the drinking age be lowered to eighteen? That is my essential question and I hope to prove my beliefs to people with its answer. Also, why was the drinking age moved up to twenty- one in the first place? What are some more reasons why it should be lowered? Why can the US at least allow our war veterans drink on base anymore? Is it un-constitutional to not allow adults to engage in adult activities? Why are we given all of this adult- like responsibility before we can drink? If we cannot drink, are we really considered adults or just kids? All of these are questions that I wish to answer by my research. Hopefully, you (the readers of my blog) will have a full understanding of my beliefs, and where I stand on this matter.

The Story Behind The Research
Under what criteria should the drinking age be lowered to eighteen? Is it wrong to not allow our soldiers to drink even though they defend this country? By the time an individual is eighteen, they have already able to do many things that define adulthood. A couple of these are voting, driving, run for a local office, drive, and defend this country. We can be in control of two tons of hurtling death by the time we are sixteen years old. But, having a drink is a crime? Out there in the US today, a legless war veteran is only twenty years old. If he were to go to public bar, he would be denied the right to drink with the people he fought to protect. Is that right? People who are mature enough to give up their limbs and unbroken mentality are not mature enough to have a beer with their fellow Americans? This is true in this country and it is sad. Research shows that politicians think that at least our soldiers should be able to drink beer.
